GPH Endorsements
Aloha Fellow Green and Relative in Peace & Justice,
The Green Party of Hawaii is enthusiastic about endorsing Progressive candidates that are running on the Green Party platform aka the Progressive Platform, which is focused on People over Profit. Below is the list of candidates that we are endorsing for GPH and also Progressive candidates that are essentially running on the Green Party platform. You can only vote for one party in the primary, so if you have Green Party candidates on your ballot, please vote for them on the Green Party ballot. If there are no Green Party candidates on your ballot, then you may consider voting for one of the non–Green Party candidates that are essentially running on the Green Party platform, using this list.
GPH is endorsing candidates who have demonstrated that they will be a courageous Representative of the People, the ‘Āina, and the Wai, and who willingly and enthusiastically fight for Justice and the Progressive issues that the Green Party stands for:
Affordable Housing
Living Wage
Health Care For All
Indigenous Rights
Decriminalizing Houselessness
Police Accountability
Green New Deal
Unfortunately, too many elected officials forget that they were elected to represent the needs of the people rather than their corporate funders. The Green Party of Hawaii believes that candidates whom we endorse will represent the People of Hawaiʻi very well with their commitment to protect and serve the people, community, and our ‘āina.
We are impressed by the fearlessness of these candidates to stand for what is honest and fair over the current prevailing trend. With our local governments heavily influenced by corporate greed, and our world on the verge of climate chaos, we need fearless Representatives serving in the local government who have the courage to take the hard path of what is just over the easy path of what is popular.
Ho‘omaika‘i and mahalo piha for being a member of the Green Party of Hawaii and for standing to end the disproportionate influence of for-profit interests in government.
Me ke aloha ‘āina,
Dave Mulinix, Co-Chair, Green Party of Hawaii
Susan Roberts-Emery, Co-Chair, Green Party of Hawaii
